Semarang, October 5th 2021 – the Government of Central Java Province has made serious effort in facing flood and the threat of land subsidence that occured in the Coastal Zone, one of those is through cooperation with the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Government of Central Java Province have a longstanding cooperative relationship regarding water management. This partnership framework is considered as an effective solution related to land subsidence issue in the Coastal Zone, drainage in urban areas, flood mitigation, coastal protection, as well as strengthening the capacity of integrated water resource management. On Wednesday (29/09/2021), the Governor of Central Java Province Mr. Ganjar Pranowo received a visit from the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Lambert Grijns. This honorary visit is a series of activities to advance the project cooperation with Semarang and Pekalongan, as well as Demak, which is the focus cooperation between both parties.
